Morgan starred alongside other actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women that focuses on AIDS prevention and education. A portion of the profits was donated toward the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fundraisers for the disease and also appeared before a special Congressional panel on AIDS education. She is on the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general of Canada, has asked her to replace him on occasions at AIDS related events. Additionally she hosted the AIDS Awareness Special together with Steve Bell. She's appeared on Nightline with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan has been nominated for an Emmy for the special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In the spring of this year, Morgan starred alongside Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC TV. The summer began by Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The show, Von Zerneck/Sertner also included Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. The next time she appeared, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady along with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also played in the psychological thriller "The Leading Lady" that was exclusively produced for USA Network. This thriller received the highest ever ratings for that network.
